Africa faces disproportionate burden from climate change, says UN

Africa is bearing a disproportionate impact from climate change, with adaptation costs rising, according to a new report by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). The continent has warmed by 0.3 degrees Celsius per decade from 1991 to 2023, outpacing the global average. North Africa saw the most significant rise in temperatures, with Morocco's Agadir reaching a record 50.4 degrees Celsius.
