The 2024 UN World Happiness Report has ranked Libya as the happiest state in Africa followed closely by Mauritius and South Africa.
In the global happiness rankings by the UN report, which evaluates over 140 countries each year since 2012, Libya secured the 66th position, followed by Algeria at 85th, and Morocco was placed at 107th.
According to the report, Global happiness inequality has risen by over 20% in the past twelve years across all regions and age demographics.
