Algeria appoints new external security chief

The Algerian Ministry of National Defense has announced the appointment of Brigadier General Rochdi Fethi Moussaoui as the Director General of Documentation and External Security (DGDS). He will succeed Major General Mehena Djebbar, who has held the position for two years. According to the ministry quoting Army Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Said Chengriha as saying that Moussaoui was appointed after the presidential decree dated 19 September.
