According to Renewables Now, the Algerian government has signed contracts to allocate 3,000 MW of solar capacity to a variety of companies including those with foreign ties. The solar facilities will be located in 12 provinces across the country – Bechar, M'Sila, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Batna, El Oued, Ghardaia, Tiaret, Laghouat, Touggourt, El M'ghair, Biskra, and Ouled Djellal.
