Source: X

Algeria has failed to secure a seat on the African Union’s Peace and Security Council (CPS), an organization that is responsible for promoting peace, security, and stability across the continent. Algeria had aimed to reclaim the seat held by Morocco for the past three years but fell short of the required votes. Several countries abstained from supporting Algeria’s bid.
