Algeria says floods in the south killed six

Algerian civil defence officials have raised the death toll from recent southern floods to six, local media reported Tuesday. Four bodies, aged between 10 and 59, were recovered in the provinces of Tamanrasset, Naama, and Bechar. This follows an initial report of two deaths since Friday, after heavy rains triggered widespread flooding across several areas in southern Algeria. Authorities continue to assess the damage.
