Algeria's Foreign Ministry summoned the French ambassador, Stephane Romatet, on Tuesday to protest the "provocative" and "degrading" treatment of Algerian citizens at Paris airports. Reports from Algerian newspapers, including El Moudjahid, highlighted "extremely poor treatment" at Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports, where visa windows were allegedly closed intentionally, leaving Algerians waiting longer than their flight duration. The ministry demanded immediate actions to end these discriminatory practices, hinting at potential retaliation by French Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau.
