Morocco–EU trade reaches historic peak in 2024
Trade between Morocco and the European Union soared to a record-breaking $65 billion in 2024, according to an announcement from
Algeria will import 9.2 million tonnes of wheat in the July 2025–June 2026 marketing year, the U.S. Department of Agriculture forecasts, as domestic production remains stable. The country is the world’s second-largest per capita bread consumer, at 110 kg per person, with government subsidies keeping demand near 12 million tonnes. Russia will remain the North African country’s top supplier, while imports from France are set to decline.
