Algeria to work with US lobbying firm linked to Israel

According to The Africa Report Algeria is set to work with a United States-based lobbying firm which has ‘numerous links with Israel, making this a surprising move on Algeria’s part, given its position on the situation in Palestine.’ The Africa Report goes on to say that ‘at the beginning of September, the Algerian ambassador in Washington, Sabri Boukadoum, signed the contract with BGR Group (BGR Government Affairs, LLC) to carry out lobbying operations in the US on behalf of the Algerian state. The contract, which came into effect on 10 September, is worth $720,000 a year.’
