Report highlights ongoing water risks for Morocco’s agriculture despite recent rains
After years of severe drought, Morocco has recently experienced a surge in rainfall, offering temporary relief to its agricultural sector.
Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune dismissed Finance Minister Laaziz Faid and Industry Minister Fouad Hajji on Sunday without explanation, state media reported. Abdelkrim Bou El Zerd was appointed as finance minister, while Wassim Kouidri took over the newly independent Ministry of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production. The reshuffle comes as Algeria grapples with economic challenges, including inflation, declining energy revenues, and the need for structural reforms.
