Syria’s interim president, Ahmed al-Sharaa, will attend an Arab League summit on March 4 in Cairo to discuss the Gaza crisis, AFP reports citing a statement from the Syrian government. The meeting follows global condemnation of Donald Trump’s proposal to redevelop Gaza and relocate Palestinians. It marks Sharaa’s first Arab League appearance since Syria’s reinstatement in 2023.
