Libya deported more than 600 migrants to Niger last month as EU agreements push for broader control of migrants in North Africa
In December, 613 migrant men from Niger detained in Libya were deported back to their home country, according to a
Israel's military reported a "shooting incident" Monday along the country's southern border with Egypt, saying that it was discussing the issue with the Egyptian authorities.
"A few hours ago, a shooting incident occurred on the Egyptian border. The
incident is under review and discussions are being held with the Egyptians,"
the military said in a statement.
