China's Chang’e-7 Moon Mission to include Egypt and Bahrain

China's lunar ambitions gain international momentum as Egypt and Bahrain join forces to contribute scientific instruments to the 2026 Chang’e-7 mission, aimed at discovering water ice at the moon's south pole. 

Last week, the Egyptian Space Agency, Bahrain’s National Space Science Agency, and the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics signed a cooperation agreement to jointly develop a hyperspectral camera for the mission.
