Chinese President Xi Jinping made a brief visit to Morocco on Thursday, according to state media from both countries. Welcomed in Casablanca by Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, the visit underscored strong ties of friendship and cooperation, Morocco's MAP reported. Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch also greeted Xi at the airport, where he had a "cordial conversation" with the Crown Prince, CCTV noted. Morocco's proximity to Europe and trade agreements make it appealing to Chinese EV battery manufacturers.
