Egypt privately warns Trump: Gaza plan could endanger peace treaty with Israel

In a discreet diplomatic effort, Egypt has expressed grave concerns over President Donald Trump's proposal for the mass relocation of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip. The plan, which includes the U.S. overseeing Gaza's reconstruction, could jeopardize the longstanding peace treaty between Egypt and Israel—key to regional stability and U.S. influence. Despite 15 months of intense conflict in Gaza following a significant attack by Hamas on southern Israel, Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi has yet to publicly comment on the proposal.
