According to reports in Asharq Bloomberg, Egypt and Saudi Arabia have made significant progress in the implementation of their electrical interconnection project with approximately 60 percent of the project completed. The project aims to establish a maximum capacity of 3,000 megawatts, which is expected to be achieved by early 2026. The electrical interconnection project could offer the potential to export electricity to Asia and Europe. Additionally, it will strengthen connections with neighboring countries and help address the ongoing electricity crisis within Egypt.
