Egypt will pay off its remaining $1 billion in outstanding dues to foreign energy firms by early next month, completing its plan to clear all arrears by year-end, Egypt Today reports. The move aims to boost investor confidence and attract further exploration, particularly in the West Mediterranean and West Delta. To address a natural gas supply gap, Egypt is securing long-term LNG contracts and expanding renewable energy capacity.
