Egyptian FM confirms continued efforts to promote stability in Sahel region

On the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty met with Abdoulaye Diop, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Mali and confirmed the continuation of Egyptian efforts to promote stability in the Sahel region. The two ministers exchanged views on the latest developments in the Sahel region and West Africa, explored bilateral cooperation domains and agreed on stepping up coordination on issues of mutual concern at both the regional and international levels.
