An Egyptian worker was killed, and three Arab-Israeli tourists were injured during a fight at a hotel in the Egyptian resort of Taba, AFP reports citing a medical source. The altercation reportedly began when the tourists attempted to obtain hotel services without paying, leading to a confrontation with hotel staff. Taba, a popular tourist destination for Israelis, is located near the Israeli border in south Sinai. The injured worker died in an ambulance en route to Sharm al-Sheikh, 200 km to the south. Three other hotel workers were also wounded. Egyptian authorities are investigating the incident, dismissing Israeli media claims of a "stabbing operation."

Egypt, which maintains a peace treaty with Israel, has historically played a key role in mediating Israeli-Palestinian conflicts, including the current war in Gaza. The incident highlights ongoing tensions in the region, even in areas where tourism and diplomatic relations are typically stable.
