Egypt has fully awarded a tender for 20 cargoes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to meet winter demand after a sharp decline in domestic gas output, four trading sources told Reuters on Friday. This marks the first winter demand tender since 2018. Egypt, now a net gas importer, has purchased over 50 cargoes this year, abandoning its plans to become a reliable supplier to Europe amidst growing energy needs.
