Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan offered to mediate tensions between Sudan and the UAE during a call with Sudan's military leader, Gen. Abdel-Fattah Burhan, the Turkish presidency said. Days earlier, Erdogan brokered Ethiopia-Somalia talks over a Somaliland dispute. Erdogan emphasized Turkey's commitment to Sudan’s peace, territorial integrity, and sovereignty while opposing foreign intervention. The offer underscores Turkey's growing role in mediating regional conflicts, according to the presidential communications office.
