Europe has solidified its position as Morocco's leading trading partner, commanding 63.2% of the country's total merchandise trade in 2023, up from 58.8% the previous year, according to data from the Office des Changes.
Trade between Morocco and Europe is expected to reach 724.8 billion dirhams ($74.5 billion) in 2024, marking a 5.7% increase from 2022's 685.8 billion dirhams ($71.6 billion).
Meanwhile, Morocco's trade with Africa and Asia has seen a decline.
