Former Marseille midfielder Abdelaziz Barrada has died at 35, the club announced Thursday. Morocco’s football federation (FRMF) called his passing a "great tragedy." The France-born player, capped 26 times for Morocco, helped his team reach the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations final in 2011. “Our sincerest condolences to his family,” Marseille wrote on X. Barrada, who retired in 2021, also played for Getafe, PSG's reserves, and clubs in Turkey, Qatar, and the UAE.
