France calls for European visa cooperation after stabbing spree by Algerian-born man

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot urged European nations to limit visas for countries that reject deported migrants after an Algerian-born assailant, on a terrorism watch list and pending deportation, killedone person and wounded several others in Mulhouse. Despite France's attempts to deport him multiple times, Algeria did not cooperate, according to French authorities. Barrot suggested that the European Union might lower customs tariffs for countries that cooperate with deportations.
