Algeria expels over 1,800 migrants to Niger border, rights group says
Algeria expelled 1,845 migrants to Niger’s border in a mass operation on April 19, rights group Alarmphone Sahara
According to French Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau, France could impose sanctions on Air Algeria, if Algeria continues to reject the arrival of individuals expelled by France, who have violated French law. It comes after a third Algerian was returned back to France, after being deported for criminal activity and illegal occupation Retailleau went on to state that France is “reviewing all possible responses,” including the possibility of imposing sanctions on Air Algeria.
