According to reporting by Africa Intelligence, while France's army in Senegal is due to leave the country by September, the future of its air force's capabilities there is unclear. Paris is reportedly considering relocating them to another country, with Mauritania a strong possibility, according to the media outlet. The decisions by Senegal, Chad and other African nations in recent months to ask French troops to withdraw has left France with fewer options to maintain security and operational relations on the continent.
