According to a report by the Office des Changes titled “External Transactions Account and Morocco’s Global Position,” France is now the top market for Moroccan tourism. Morocco’s tourism revenues from France totaled 33.6 billion dirhams in 2023, marking an 8.4% increase from the previous year.
Overall tourism revenues for Morocco hit over 104.7 billion dirhams in 2023, showing a 33% increase compared to pre-pandemic levels in 2019, which were 78.7 billion dirhams. Visitors from Spain came in second followed by Italy third.
