French NGO SOS Mediterranee says it rescued 25 migrants off the Libyan coast Sunday, AFP reports. The group’s Ocean Viking vessel took the migrants aboard, where they are receiving care from the Red Cross and SOS Mediterranee teams. The group included five unaccompanied minors and two other children were under four. The rescue was prompted by a distress call via Alarm Phone, a hotline used by migrants attempting the dangerous Mediterranean crossing.
