Senegal, Mauritania take step towards shared gas production
Senegal and Mauritania said Wednesday they had moved a step closer towards producing gas after opening the first well at
Sudan's army chief, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, expressed support for efforts to end the war in Sudan, provided they lead to the removal of the “occupation” by the rival Rapid Support Forces (RSF). Speaking at the U.N. General Assembly in New York, Burhan accused regional states of supplying the RSF with funding, weapons, and mercenaries, though he did not specify which countries were involved.
