According to Arabian Gulf Business Insight (AGBI) , Spain’s Secegsa has hired Herrenknecht Iberica, a German firm specializing in tunneling technology, to complete a feasibility study on an undersea rail tunnel linking Spain and Morocco. Secegsa told AGBI that the Spain-Morocco tunnel would be similar to the Channel Tunnel with two parallel single-track tunnels allowing both high-speed passenger and freight trains to operate.
