A delegation representing Hamas leadership arrived in Cairo to discuss the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and advance negotiations toward the second phase of the deal, Egypt State Information Service (SIS) announced. This comes after the White House confirmed earlier this week that U.S. officials revealed that a few weeks ago in Doha, they had taken part in direct talks with Hamas for the first time since the U.S. designated Hamas a terrorist organization in 1997.
