Algeria expels over 1,800 migrants to Niger border, rights group says

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) annual report revealed that Moroccans accounted for 25% of irregular migrants who arrived in Spain second only to Senegalese at 31%, followed by Algerians at 12%.
The report provides an overview of the latest trends and developments in migration across the Mediterranean Sea and Western African Atlantic routes. The report also highlighted that Morocco was among the main countries of origin for registered arrivals in Europe in 2023, along with the Syrian Arab Republic, Guinea, Senegal, Afghanistan, Tunisia, Côte d’Ivoire, and Bangladesh.
