Iraq endorses Morocco’s autonomy plan for Western Sahara

Iraq reaffirmed its support for Morocco’s territorial integrity, endorsing the autonomy plan for the disputed region of Western Sahara, according to the Moroccan state news agency. Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein expressed this stance in Rabat at a press briefing with his Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita after their meeting Saturday. The statement reflects growing international backing for Morocco’s proposal as a realistic, consensus-based solution to the long-standing territorial dispute.
