Morocco tourism surges 19% in first half of 2025
Morocco welcomed 8.9 million tourists in the first half of 2025, a 19% year-on-year increase, according to Morocco World
Writing on X, Israeli Los Angeles Consul General Israel Bachar said, “my remarks regarding Morocco were not accurate.” It comes during a week in which President Trump has suggested the takeover of Gaza by the U.S., prompting some confusion over where people from Gaza would be housed, including online rumors that Morocco maybe one such location. When contacted by Medias24, the director of the Israeli liaison office in Morocco, Youssef Ben David, formally denied this information. "I can reiterate what our consul general in Los Angeles has already clarified, namely that his reference to Morocco during his interview with CBN was not accurate."
Over the last few months Morocco has continued to advocate for a two-state solution while maintaining its historical support for Palestinians’ rights.
