Tunisian president calls for changes to central bank law

Giacomo Passeri, a young man from Pescara, was sentenced to life imprisonment by a Cairo court for drug possession, nearly a year after his arrest in Egypt, his brother Andrea Passeri said.
Andrea expressed shock, stating Giacomo must serve 25 years in Egypt. The family had previously raised concerns about his condition in jail, where Giacomo initiated a hunger strike to protest his treatment and the prolonged trial.
