Interior ministers from Libya and Tunisia have agreed to partially reopen the border crossing at Ras Jdir on Thursday morning, and to fully reopen it on June 20 after more than three months of closure. The agreement aims to help the movement of citizens between the two countries by opening the four joint gates at the crossing and resolving name similarity issues. Additionally, it includes the establishment of six electronic registration centers for Libyan citizens' cars, the elimination of unauthorized fees and fines, the enforcement of border control, and ensuring the absence of armed presence.
