Egypt, Türkiye unite in attempt to solve Libya’s crisis
According to reports by Bloomberg News Egypt and Turkey are pressing Libya's two competing governments to reach a
Libya's rival legislative bodies agreed Tuesday to jointly appoint a central bank governor, a move that could ease tensions over control of the country’s oil revenues, which have curtailed production. They plan to name a governor and board of directors within 30 days. The central bank, Libya's sole legal repository for oil revenues, manages state salaries nationwide. Both factions also extended consultations for five days, set to conclude on September 9.
