According to reports in the Libyan Observer Libyan officials have discussed the idea of reciprocity in entry fees for Egyptian citizens wishing to enter Libya, including the imposition of visa fees on private cars, group rides, and trucks. It comes as Libyans complained that the Egyptian government doubled the entry fees, to the equivalent of 200 US dollars in addition to increasing other fees at the border crossing at Salloum. Tobruk residents expressed in a statement their dissatisfaction with the Egyptian authorities’ decision to raise the fees.
