Libya’s Mufti Sheikh Al-Sadeq Al-Gharyani warned Syrians against foreign financial aid, particularly from Saudi Arabia and the UAE, citing Egypt and Libya’s struggles under external influence. He accused the UAE and Saudi Arabia of undermining elected governments in Egypt and Tunisia and fueling Sudan’s conflict. Al-Gharyani labeled events in Libya and Egypt as coups, not democratic transitions, urging Syrians to resist divisive rhetoric and learn from the region’s revolutionary setbacks.
