According to Tunisian authorities, a man set himself on fire outside the capital’s Grand Synagogue and was killed by police. The Associated Press reported a statement from the Tunisian Interior Ministry that a man, while ablaze, advanced toward a police officer, and a second officer opened fire to protect his colleague. The statement went on to say that the officer was hospitalized with burns, as was a passerby.
