Media: Algeria prosecutors seek 10-year prison sentence for Boualem Sansal

Prosecutors in Algeria have requested a 10-year prison sentence for Franco-Algerian writer Boualem Sansal,  who has been detained since November upon his arrival back at Algiers airport. Sansal is accused of undermining the country's territorial integrity, and according to local media reports, a verdict against the writer, is due on March 27. Sansal writes in French, and his case has received widespread attention in France; this while relations between France and its former colony Algeria have deteriorated significantly in recent months.
