The proposed agreement includes the release of hostages taken during the October 7 Hamas attack, in exchange for Palestinian prisoners held by Israel. AFP reports that that a senior US official said Israel has broadly accepted the terms of the temporary truce, which includes increased aid deliveries to Gaza.
