Modest growth forecast for MENA economies, World Bank report finds

Economic growth in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) remains subdued due to heightened uncertainties from regional conflicts, according to the World Bank's latest MENA Economic Update. The report estimates that GDP per capita in conflict-affected MENA countries could have been 45% higher, measured seven years after the conflict's onset. This loss is equivalent to the region's average progress over the last 35 years, underscoring the severe economic impact of prolonged instability
