Four Moroccan truck drivers, who went missing last weekend while travelling between Burkina Faso and Niger, remain stranded in Niger, trucking industry sources tell the Moroccan outlet Hespress. The drivers are reportedly still separated from their vehicles. Transportation unions criticized Moroccan diplomats for withholding updates on the drivers and urged stronger protection for drivers facing security threats on African trade routes.
