Moroccan writers honored at Doha Arabic Book Prize

Nine Moroccan authors and researchers were honored at the inaugural Doha Arabic Book Prize, which attracted over 1,200 submissions from 35 countries, regional media report. Winners included Abderrahmane Boudraa in linguistic studies and Ahmed El Moutaouakil for lifetime achievement. The awards recognize Morocco’s strong literary and scholarly tradition, reinforcing its role as a key contributor to Arabic literature, history, and philosophy.
