President Donald Trump on Wednesday sent tariff letters to seven smaller U.S. trading partners, including Algeria, Libya, and Iraq,
Morocco and Mauritania solidified their partnership by signing an agreement on Tuesday to interconnect their electricity grids, a move facilitated by Tarik Hamane of Morocco’s National Office for Electricity and Drinking Water and Sidi Salem Mohaned Elabd of the Mauritanian Electricity Company. The ceremony, attended by Moroccan Ambassador Hamid Chabar, marks a significant step in the Royal Atlantic Initiative aimed at enhancing South-South relations by allowing Sahel countries to leverage the Atlantic Ocean.
