According to reports in local media a Moroccan delegation is currently taking part in the regional conference of the Committee of 24 for the Caribbean region in Caracas, Venezuela, signaling Morocco’s commitment to broaden its diplomatic reach to resolve the Western Sahara issue. Currently 107 UN member states have expressed support for Morocco’s autonomy proposal, calling it the most serious and credible way to find a lasting solution to the Sahara dispute.
