Morocco is bolstering its naval forces with plans to acquire three French corvettes, a FREMM-class frigate, and a Russian Amur-class submarine, according to reports. The multi-role FREMM frigate, developed by Naval Group and Fincantieri, offers advanced anti-aircraft, anti-submarine, and land-strike capabilities. The Amur submarine is slated for the Ksar Al-Saghir naval base near Tangier-Med. The newspaper El Confidencial reported on the intention to incorporate a Russian Amur-class submarine.  This modernization highlights Morocco’s commitment to strengthening its maritime defense infrastructure.
