A joint Interpol operation involving 14 countries, including Morocco, has led to the arrest of 66 suspects. Lasting two weeks, the operation, codenamed “Neptune VI”, tracked the movements of international terrorists and criminal gangs involved in transnational crimes such as drug trafficking and arms smuggling. After analyzing twelve million data points, 12 suspects on the Interpol most-wanted list were arrested with a further 54 for various other crimes. Police recovered 549,000 euros as well as gold worth up to 10 million euros; 25 kilograms of cannabis, 35 stolen vehicles, and firearms and ammunition were also seized.
