Morocco’s Minister of Transport and Logistics, Abdessamad Kayouh, has announced plans to increase the airport traffic in Morocco from 30 million to 80 million passengers by 2030. Citing preparations for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, Kayouh, also noted that Royal Air Maroc’s (RAM) fleet will increase from 50 to 200 aircraft by 2037. It is all part of Morocco’s “Airports 2030” strategy that also has the long-term aim of making Casablanca a regional hub for RAM to operate flights across four continents.
